Spiked Collars

Spike collars are no longer jus for dogs. You'll find more and more goth, emo, and punk people wearing spiked collars around their necks and wrists.

Personally, it's dangerous, and I wouldn't recommend it, but whatever floats your boat. I mean you don't look any tougher with the spiked collar than you do without it.

Just like there are different spiked collars for dogs, you'll find different spiked collars for people, but for the most part they're the exact same thing.

For the most part, you'll find that they are a fake leather with sort spikes or loops with chains, but there are different widths that one can purchase with different types of spikes or studs.

They aren't really all that dangerous-unless you're intentionally trying to hurt someone or are really clumsy. The most pain I've ever had from wearing one was because it was on too tight.

I really don't think that the thought behind wearing them is to make you look tougher for some though... I think hmmm well I wore one all the time... why did I wear it? I have no clue... I just picked it up and wore it... standard dog collar in hot pink so of course it didn't make me look tough. people wear those things because they like them and I think its totally stupid to say that mainly goth, punk or emo people wear them... not baggin on you about name dropping at all but why do those select few groups get the hype for being different? its such a growing trend now that its not that different at all lol Hell I went as an 80's punk for halloween as a joke.. most people thought I was in my regular clothing... -sigh- anyways yeah there's my 2 cents

I just owned one and Im soo happy because I always wanted one, but I asked myself if Spiked Collars have something to do with BDSM. Because I do not really think that it has something to do with it but my dad said something only because of a normal collar without any O-or D-ring and I think only those collars have something to do with BDSM(but do not think my dad does not know anything about the "black scene", he does!) Im really not into BDSM and I dont want risk to look as if I was. So I looked around the internet and I mean nowhere they say that it has something to do with BDSM but they also do not say anywhere that it has nothing to do with it so Im kind of confused.
