Signs of Tattoo Scarring

Scarring is just one complication that is actually pretty common with tattoos. In some cases, it's not the most noticeable complication, unless you rub your fingers over the tattoo, but in other cases the scarring can be more severe.
Tattoo scarring can be caused by anything from improper aftercare techniques on your part, sensitive skin, or in-experienced tattoo artists. Most tattoo scarring occurs because the tattoo artists drove the needle too deep into the skin.
The scars can be anything from just slightly raised skin, usually on the tattoo outline, or an overall raised tattoo. Typically, you'll notice bumpy raised skin, and at times it may be itchy. The scarring will be more prevalent further down the line as the tattoo ages, versus early on right after the tattoo.
As long as the artist does everything to the tee, you shouldn't have any problems or worries towards scarring, but if you do start to notice signs of scarring, you can apply aloe to the tattoo to minimize the scar. Typically, the aloe straight from the plant will work better than an aloe lotion.
