So, in the spirit of the upcoming holiday, I figured I'd mention that you really can go authentic for Halloween. I mean if you really want to be the dead zombie wife haunting your sleep deprived husband, then go for it. Have fun with your costume, but remember that it's all in the Halloween makeup as to how authentic and real your costume looks.
You really can scare people with your Halloween costume, if you spend the extra time to properly apply your spirit gum and makeup.

Sometimes you'll find that the tips for applying Halloween makeup are more geared towards younger kids, which is not something that you want to consider if you are going to an adult party.
Personally, I would suggest that you stick with simple scars, wounds, bruises, and things of that sort. The more all out that you try to go, the harder it will be to make the makeup look realistic, and the harder it will be to remove the Halloween makeup, and you want to make sure that you thoroughly remove the Halloween makeup because you want to make sure that you get your pores and face clean before you go to bed.
