How will a tattoo affect hair growth?

When getting a tattoo where you naturally have hair, the tattoo artist will have to shave the area to get the best contact, needle and ink to skin. But, the hair will grow back. In many cases, the hair may grow back normal, just a little darker and coarser as would normal hair growth after shaving an area. In some cases, though, you'll find that the hair may grow back thinner.
From my personal experience, I've seen both. I have one tattoo that is near the genital area, and the hair really hasn't grown back, and my ex has tattoos on his arms where the hair grew back normally.
I think that to some degree, the extent of the hair growing back, it will vary on your body and your hair (IE do you have thicker hair, thinner hair growth, dark or light hair, etc), but for the most part, the hair growth will not affect your tattoo by any means.
