Ear Pointing - Elf Ears

September 14th 2008 20:20
I'm not really sure what the fascination with this modification is, but for some reason getting your ears pointed is pretty popular. You may hear it as elf ears, or maybe a few other things, but ear pointing is what it is.

You're creating a point at the top of your ear.

The entire procedure is a pseudosergical one, that is only offered by a few practitioners. Basically, a small wedge of tissue is removed from the top of the ear. The two edges of the cartlidge is then sutured together to form the tip.

When you get your ear pointed, you are not adding any height to the ear. You are removing part of the tissues, and just forming a point.

Wow - that's kinda cool. I think I'll stick to plastic dress up ones though!

Woow...
That's kinda nasty looking in step two =0! Though, the final results are pretty damned cool

Helen, I agree the plastic ones are just as cool. Ha.

Morgan, I wish there was a way, but they do look rather interesting, of course a reversal means as well. I just don't think that I want to be 60 with pointed ears. Ha.

Ash, yea it's not a pretty process, but many people think the results are worth it.

Can anyone tell me of someone who does this in Australia? Specifically Queensland?
I want to get it done; I've been researching and checking all the details so I've got it pretty wrapped up. I just need somewhere to do it for me.
Any information would help.

Thanks

For anyone in Australia. I live there btw and am looking to get it done. There is a pro body mod guy in Sydney I think, called Lunacobra. I have heard he is very good. :3
